What to expect at ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs software engineering interviews can combine algorithmic coding with changes to a small interactive app or a workflow used by editors and voice actors. Product decomposition asks you to explain what users need, prioritise features and turn an existing process into a usable product. That discussion can matter even for a backend-leaning application.

The guide covers full-stack and frontend-leaning accounts. Assessment versions differ, and backend, research or infrastructure roles may include other specialist rounds.

Turning a workflow into a product

In a dubbing workflow, editing a script line or replacing a recording can make an earlier approval stale. Start by identifying who needs to review the change and what they need to hear or see around it. This connects the backend state to the editor's and voice actor's next action.

Rehearse a line moving from approval through an edit and back to review. Describe how the product exposes the changed work, supports comments in context and shows that review is complete. Use that sequence to compare a document-like interface with inline audio against a video-player experience, rather than beginning with a preferred layout.
