This Policy applies when you visit or use the breakinto.ai website, create an account, submit practice, purchase access, or contact us. breakinto.ai is responsible for the personal information described here.

The information we collect depends on how you use the service and may include:

• Account information, including your email address, optional name and profile details, account identifiers, and authentication records.
• Practice information, including answers, selected responses, source code, scores, feedback, attempt history, and progress.
• Tracker information, including the companies, roles, applications, interview dates, statuses, and notes you save.
• Communications, including messages, support requests, corrections, interview reports, and feedback you send us.
• Purchase information, if you buy paid access, including your plan, payment status, transaction identifiers, and limited billing details. Payment-card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by breakinto.ai.
• Technical information, including IP address, browser and device characteristics, pages and features used, request times, errors, and security events.
• Optional voice input is processed only long enough to return a transcript. The recording is not stored by breakinto.ai. We may log basic request details such as duration, file type, size, and whether the request succeeded.

We use personal information to:

• create, maintain, and secure your account.
• provide challenges, scoring, feedback, code execution, progress, and other requested features.
• process purchases and maintain transaction records.
• respond to support requests and service messages.
• send account and service emails, including verification, password resets, billing notices, and security alerts.
• send product updates and marketing communications, subject to your email preferences.
• prevent misuse, diagnose problems, and improve the service.
• comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We process information as needed to provide the service under our agreement with you, for legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, with consent where required, and to meet legal obligations. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting [email protected]. You can continue using your account, and we may still send emails needed to provide the service. We retain unsubscribe preferences so we can respect your choice.

We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party targeted advertising.

We use specialist providers for services such as hosting, databases, authentication, email, payments, automated scoring, code execution, and error monitoring. They receive only the information needed to perform those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or others, at your direction, or in connection with a business reorganisation or sale.

Some providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use recognised safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect your session. Your browser may also store unsent drafts, code drafts, timers, layout, and focus preferences. You can clear this information through your browser, although doing so may remove drafts or reset features.

Your application and interview tracker is saved to your breakinto.ai account, so your entries remain available after refreshing the page or signing in on another device. Tracker images are generated locally on your device. You choose whether and where to share them.

Error monitoring collects technical diagnostics to help us identify failures. Session replay and performance tracing are disabled.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service and meet security, support, accounting, or legal requirements. Account information, submitted attempts, scorecards, tracker entries, and progress may be retained while your account is active.

After an account is closed or a valid deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify associated information unless continued retention is reasonably necessary or required by law. Residual copies may remain in protected backups until they are overwritten.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

• access and receive a copy of your information.
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• request deletion of your information.
• restrict or object to certain processing.
• receive certain information in a portable format.
• withdraw consent where processing depends on it.
• complain to an appropriate privacy authority.

You can download your account data or request account deletion in Settings → Data. Deletion requires confirmation through your email. Billing records and submitted interview reports are retained separately.

breakinto.ai is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to the processing of their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

We may update this Policy as the service or our practices change. The latest version will show its last updated date, and we will provide reasonable notice of material changes when appropriate.
